Version 4.1 & 4.2 Released

HRCW and legislation update: We have made some updates to the wording of Flammable in the High-Risk Construction Work (HRCW) to Contaminated/Flammable. We have added more content to this HRCW in response to feedback from the industry. Next time you use this HRCW in your SWMS you will see more content for you to select from.

Multiple SMS sent to workers: We have added limits on how many SWMS can be sent to a worker within a set time frame. This is to prevent a worker from getting spammed by multiple SWMS invites. If you need to send a worker more than three SWMS via SMS, we suggest you wait a few minutes before sending the fourth SWMS.

Archive projects: When you archive a project you can now choose to turn off the notification informing users on the project that it has been archived. We recommended that users on the project are notified when a project is archived so the notification is turned on by default.

Suspended message update: We have made a few changes to the ability to suspend SWMS. For example, users will not be able to suspend SWMS that are not active status. We have also updated confirmation messages to ensure the user understands the process of suspending SWMS.

Conformation page when inviting a PCBU: PC users will now be shown a confirmation page when they have invited a PCBU to a SWMS for their project. This will enable the PC user to acknowledge the SWMS being sent out, and have the ability to copy any details which they may wish to send outside of simpliSWMS.

Mandatory review flow: We have made changes to this flow.

  • Update to the define criteria pop up box to allow users to open and close while reviewing the SWMS.

  • Ability to edit the SWMS when reviewing feedback.

  • Added icons in the Summary/admin section to easily show which users are still yet to review SWMS.

Removal of conform app: We have moved simpliSWMS from the Conform application as the Conform application will no longer be required.  We have put a hold on any new features being developed for Conform. This does not impact simpliSWMS in any way.

Mobile UI update: We have made changes to the mobile UI for simpliSWMS to cater for the new models of iPhone which have a different screen size and resolution.

Email notification of archived and unarchived SWMS: We have implemented notifications when a SWMS has been archived or unarchived. Any user who is on the SWMS, will be sent an email notification advising them of the archive/unarchive and who has performed it. There is also an option to turn off the notification for the SWMS when performing the archive/unarchive function.

Creating a SWMS in another business unit: We have added the ability for an organisation administrator to create SWMS in another business unit. Now any organisation’s main administrator will have access to create SWMS in another business unit and no longer need to switch organisation to perform this action.

Saving filters: In response to feedback we have implemented filters that can be saved when going to and from pages and menus. It’s possible to clear the filters by clicking on the clear button or “X” button next to them

Opening SWMS on a new page: In response to feedback you can now open SWMS on a new tab/page by CTRL + clicking on the left mouse button to open the SWMS in another tab from the SWMS register page. Or you can use the middle mouse button to open the SWMS. Note if you have made changes to how your mouse buttons are configured on your PC , you will need to adjust accordingly.

Organisation switcher: If you are in multiple organisations, you can switch which organisation you wish to view simpliSWMS for by clicking on the top right hand profile icon and then clicking on the business name. It is still recommended that users are only part of one organisation to prevent confusion.

Removing yourself from an organisation: If you are in multiple organisations you can now remove yourself from other organisations by clicking on the top righthand profile icon and then “Manage Account” and then selecting which organisation to leave by pressing on the “Leave Button”.

Normal project users to create and invite users to SWMS: Feedback from the industry is to be able to allow normal project users who have been added to the project to have the ability to create and invite PCBU to a SWMS. We have implemented this feature in this release.

Bug

Duplicate button missing: The duplicate button when creating a new revision was removed and has now been put back. The duplicate button will allow the user to duplicate an existing SWMS that they have access to.

Archiving SWMS: When archiving a SWMS and then immediately un-archiving a SWMS that is not active, it was not returning the SWMS back to the original status. Instead, it was putting the SWMS back in active status when it should have been draft, suspended or review status. This has been fixed.

User page in admin section: The user page under the admin area has been refactored to provide improved performance. At times we noticed this page was taking a while to load. You should notice that this page is now quicker to load and refresh.

Filters not working after refresh: After refreshing a page that has filters, the applied filters did not work until they were removed and added back again. This has been fixed.

Creating a new project in a different business unit: When creating a new project in a different business unit the project name was not showing correctly until the page was refreshed. This has been fixed.

Copy and paste of ABN number: When copying and pasting an ABN number the system would at times fail to perform an ABN lookup. This has been fixed.
